Born in South America and raised in vibrant South Florida, Giuliana Benencio Casales blends familiar texture and bright color with abstract ideas to create pieces that reflect community, identity, and the various ways power intersects with those elements.

Placing an emphasis in the creation of mood, each piece develops its own world that tells a history of exhaustive introspection. As such, everything takes a backseat to the goal of conveying intense, long, and often conflicting journeys through the realm of human experience.
